HOPES that Cathal McShane could be back to spearhead Tyrone’s Championship assault later this season appear to have suffered a major setback.
The Owen Roes All-Star attacker, who suffered an ankle dislocation in the National League against Galway back in February, has taken to social media to indicate that that he’s likely see no action at all in 2020.
With his recovery from an operation slow due to limited access to physios and medics during the protracted period of lockdown, the 24-year-old posted a photograph on Instagram of the heavily strapped left ankle he injured and admitted that he may have suffered a setback in his recovery process.
“Behind every setback is an opportunity,” he posted on the social media platform.
“2020 has been a frustrating year for sure however always staying positive.”
