AT THE final round of the 2020 Irish Minibike Championship at Nutts Corner, Omagh lad Jake Johnston displayed guts and determination to seal a top five overall finish in his rookie year.
In what was a shortened season due to the current COVID 19 situation, the IMC club managed to get in six rounds for this year’s championship. Amongst the many riders who took in the full series was local lad, Jake, who had a rather eventful morning at Nutts Corner with a scary crash in the wet morning practice session.
Like all motorcycle racers, Jake brushed himself down and never let it dent his confidence, going on to score two 5th place finishes, and with a 4th in race three, this was enough to give him 4th overall.
