LOCAL sides Dergview, Ballinamallard United and Strabane Athletic are all well represented in the Western squad that will contest the UEFA Regions Cup play-off later this month.
The Western select takes on their Eastern counterparts in a two-legged play-off with the winners going forward to represent Northern Ireland in an intermediate round mini UEFA Regions Cup tournament in October.
In it Northern Ireland will host teams from the Cezch Republic, Sweden and Wales.
At the end of last week manager Harry McConkey confirmed his Western squad which includes five Ballinamallard United players Lee Warnock, Simon Warrington, Peter Campbell and the Byrne brothers Reece and Darragh.
Also included are the Dergview trio of Philip Wallace, Johnny McKeown and Alan Buchanan and the Strabane pairing of Conal Crawford and Ronan McBrearty.
Aodhan Bishop, Strabane Athletic, Luke Henderson (Beragh Swifts) and Ritchie Johnston (Enniskillen Rangers) are named on a stand-by list.
The first leg of the play-off takes place at Holm Park on Wednesday March 9 with the second leg at Mill Meadow, Castledawson on Wednesday March 23. Both games kick-off at 7.45pm.
