DESPITE the uncertainty around when next season might start, new Strabane Athletic boss Liam McMenamin is planning ahead regardless by signing three players last week.
McMenamin, who recently succeeded Eamon Curry, has snapped up goalkeeper Ruairi McElroy and outfeld players Conor O’Hagan and Ciaran Slevin.
McElroy returns to Athletic having had a spell at Championship neighbours Dergview while the arrival of additions O’Hagan and Slevin will add strength in depth to McMenamin’s squad for the forthcoming campaign.
The Athletuc supremo is delighted to have secured the signatures of all three players as he begins building towards the new season.
He said, “I’m delighted to welcome these quality players to the club and I’m confident they will help to fulfil our ambitions in the new season.”
Just last month clubs in the Northern Ireland Intermediate League voted to end the season with immediate effect in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
