OMAGH native Toni Moore played a starring role for Lee University ‘Flames’ women’s cross-country team who clinched their fourth Gulf South Conference title in a row in Hunstville, Alabama on Saturday morning.
The 22-year-old has come on in leaps and bounds since swapping Colorado for Tennessee after finishing her two years at Trinidad State Junior College before moving south to Lee University in Cleveland.
Moore puts much of her success since moving to the ‘Flames’ down to coach Caleb Morgan, who was named GSC women’s cross-country coach of the year for a fourth time after Saturday’s success.
Since coming under Morgan’s wing, the Tyrone lady, who represents Coalisland club, Keep ‘er Lit, when at home, has posted a host of personal records indoors, outdoors and cross-country, including at the weekend when she completed the 5K course in a new PR of 17.57 minutes to place fourth.
