The Portaferry athlete, who competes for NB MCR and City of Lisburn was the first woman home and was second overall in the popular race.

She came home to applause from the large attendance waiting at the finish line.

There were almost 600 runners who completed the challenging course along the roads of the area, before finishing with a lap of the lough.

The first man home was Mourne Runners member, Andrew Annett.

Competitors made the trip to Tyrone from all over Ulster and beyond for the event, which began in 2009 and has grown steadily in the numbers competing.
