EAMON Curry has resigned as manager of Strabane Athletic.
Curry had returned to the club to take charge for a second stint during the summer but just weeks into the new season has called it a day.
The former Tyrone Super Cup manager cited work and family commitments as the reason for stepping down.
A statement released on the club’s Facebook this morning said, “Strabane Athletic manager Eamon Curry last night informed the club that he is stepping down due to an increasing workload in his employment and to spend more time with his young family.
“The club has accepted Eamon’s resignation and thanks him for his dedicated work. We extend best wishes to Eamon for the future.”
During his first spell at the club Strabane won the NI Intermediate League for the first time in the club’s history.
He agreed to take the reins for a second time after Liam McMenamin had resigned on health grounds.
