One of Tyrone’s top combat athletes will be making a momentous homecoming next month when Bellator 302 comes to the SSE Arena, Belfast.
MMA featherweight phenom, James Gallagher (12-2) will take on one of his toughest tests to date when he steps into the cage to Jeremy Kennedy (19-3), ranked number three in the division.
The bout will be the first fight ‘The Strabanimal’ has had on Irish soil since his November 2021 defeat to now Bellator bantamweight champion Patchy Mix.
After a string of setbacks, the Tyrone warrior returned to action up a new weight class in August 2023, claiming a split decision victory over James Gonzalez.
On March 22, Gallagher will hope to capitalise on the momentum generated in his last outing by putting an end the recent string success of the in-form Kennedy.
