Tyrone 2-6 Donegal 3-15
An understrength Tyrone Minor Ladies side suffered a heavy loss at Dungannon on Saturday against Donegal leaves them needing a win at Cavan after Easter to give themselves any hope of a spot in the Platinum Final.
Donegal dominated this contest and the home side were always on the back foot. Catherine Moohan was among the scorers for the hosts but it was tough going for much of the afternoon.
Manager Darren McCann admits the task to finish in the top two will be tough but remains determined to end the round-robin phase of the campaign on a high.
The head to head against Cavan could have a say in the final outcome with the Breffni side sitting on nine points with a game in hand. Score difference could play a part too in the final shake up.
Meanwhile the Tyrone Under 14 side continued their good start to the season with another two wins at the weekend. They cut loose against Donegal scoring six goals and maintained their form at Ardboe against a strong Armagh side.
Tyrone have four more games remaining in the Ulster series before the final stages.
With three games played the Tyrone Under-16s head to a fancied Cavan on Easter Saturday well placed to make the knock out stages.
Two wins on the board and a narrow loss to Armagh edged closer to a Platinum Final berth but managers Martin Conway and Desi Friel are well aware of the task ahead. They hope to have everyone available for the trip to the Breffni County which throws in at 2pm.
