Omagh native and award-winning country singer, Gary Quinn, is looking forward to bringing a little bit of Nashville to our very own doorstep.
All the way from the capital of Tennessee, Gary will welcome fellow country stars Aaron Goodvin and Jeremy McComb to the Omagh stage for two ‘Nashville Nights’ in The Copper Tap this month – with both nights promising something different.
“The first night will see the three of us take to the stage together for what we’re calling ‘Writer Round’,” explains Gary,
“We will take turns performing songs that we have penned ourselves, whilst telling the story behind each song and what it means to us.
“Nights like these are common in Nashville, and give us as performers an excellent opportunity to discuss song topics, and pull out a few old songs that we maybe haven’t performed in a few years.
“It will be a very intimate evening, so I would encourage anyone who wishes to attend to get their ticket in advance.”
If you like nothing more than slipping on those dancing shoes and jiving the night away, then you’re in for a treat on the Saturday night, as Gary continues, “Our second night, ‘Live and Loud’, will be a bit different.
“Each of us will play a 40 minute set, offering a taste of Nashville Broadway. Included will be some of our own songs, and some contemporary covers, with more of a party atmosphere.”
Since early 2023, the Copper Tap have welcomed a number of touring Nashville musicians, and are quickly on their way to establishing themselves as Omagh’s hub of American country music.
Gary Quinn is an eight-time British Country Music Association Awards winner, and was recently named ‘Male Vocalist of the Year’ in 2022; earning a reputation as one of the UK’s most established country performers.
Also on the bill is Idaho native, Jeremy McComb, a storytelling songwriter who has penned songs that have sold over six million units, and Aaron Goodvin, an Alberta-bred, Nashville-based chart-topping country star who has scored several top 10 singles throughout his career.
The honky-tonk trio will take to the Copper Tap’s stage on Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20 from 7pm.
l Tickets for Friday’s ‘Writer Round’ event are available now via ticketpass.org whilst Saturday night’s ‘Live and Loud’ show is free admission.
