A SERIES of searches are taking place in forestry around the village of Seskinore in connection with the missing Cookstown man, 36 year-old Jason Coles.
The Community Search and Rescue team and the PSNI are continuing to look in the area around Seskinore Forest. Their searches have included derelict buildings within the forest, ponds and a large area of dense woodland on both sides of the main Omagh to Seskinore Road.
It follows the discovery of a vehicle, believed to belong to Mr Coles, in a field on the outskirts of the village.
CCTV footage from the area is also understood to have been examined for possible sightings of Mr Cole.
Today (Friday) is the second full day of searches. Teams have been on the ground in the area since Wednesday, while appeals for anyone who may have seen Mr Coles have been posted on lampposts in and around the Seskinore area.
The PSNI and the family of Mr Coles are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare. Jason is described as 5ft 10 inches and was last seen in the Main Street area of Pomeroy on Tuesday. Police are also keen to track the movements of the silver Peugeot 307 TKZ 1203
