THE Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service has tonight been battling a major blaze at a vacant property near Dungannon.
Firefighters spent several hours bringing the fire under control at a vacant property on the Old Eglish Road on the outskirts of the town.
No details as to how the fire started have yet become available, but it is understood that at least four appliances were in attendance.
Water was sourced from the nearby Black Lough, while the Fermanagh and South Tyrone MP, Michelle Gildernew, tonight expressed the hope that no-one has been injured as a result of the fire.
It is understood that the property has been vacant for a number of years.
Specialist equipment was also used to fight the blaze.
