POLICE in Omagh are currently at the scene of a security alert following the discovery of a suspicious object in the Culmore Park area of the town.
A police spokesperson last night said cordons had been put in place and a number of nearby properties were being evacuated.
The KS Community Centre was opened and made available as a respite centre.
“Officers would like to thank anyone impacted by this incident for their patience and co-operation,” added the spokesperson.
