Hear Nashville’s most popular songs performed by Irish artists

The music of Nashville’s famed hit row is coming to Cookstown as part of a special show next month that will see three of Ireland’s biggest names in country performing at the Burnavon Theatre.

Johnny Brady, Claudia Buckley and John Hogan will showcase a medley of songs by artists including Don Williams, Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynette, John Denver, Hank Williams, Jim Reeves, Vince Gill, and many more, as part of the highly-anticipated ‘Night at the Opry’ event on March 7.

The trio will also be performing huge hits all recorded in Nashville’s lauded ‘Hit Row’, including ‘Rhinestone Cowboy’, ‘Coat of Many Colours’, ‘Ring of Fire’, and ‘Blanket on the Ground’, plus a whole host of hit country songs from the 1950s right through to today, in what is sure to be a great night of toe-tapping fun.

The concert will be headlined by Johnny Brady, who is always continually pushing the boundaries in a new generation of Irish country music artists.

The multi-award-winning artist can’t pretend to be anyone but himself – and the result is that the soulful country singer and his brilliant band put on a fantastic show every single time. He will be performing music by his hero, ‘The Man In Black’, Johnny Cash, along with a lot of other anthemic songs.

Also taking to the stage is Claudia Buckley, the award-winning singer, who has been making waves in the Irish country scene.

A huge fan of Dolly Parton, the Galway girl will bring to life the songs written and recorded by the iconic Appalachian singer.

Meanwhile, John Hogan is a veteran of the scene, and he has released 16 albums and is often referred to as the ‘prince of Irish country music’.

He will also be performing songs by his icons, including an exciting array of numbers by John Denver and Glen Campbell.
