Tyrone Swifties are in for a treat as SD Entertainment prepare to welcome one of the North’s biggest Taylor Swift acts for three exclusive theatre performances throughout May and June.
‘Taylor Made –NI’s Premier Taylor Swift tribute’ will take to the stage on June 8 to perform the music of one of the biggest names in pop music in May at the Alley Theatre, Strabane and June in the Bardic Theatre, Donaghmore.
The show features Portaferry- based singer, Naomi Smyth, who officially-launched her Taylor tribute show this year. Smyth has previously performed with RPNI Events (children’s, council and corporate events); Singers Secreto (weddings); PCP Productions (corporate events); and with several societies and companies around the North, including theatres such as the Grand Opera House, The Mac, Armagh Marketplace Theatre, The Waterfront Studio and Millennium Forum.
Smyth also wowed spectators at this years St Patrick’s Day celebrations in Omagh.
Having been nominated for ‘Best Female Singer’ at the annual A.I.M.S awards and worked with international operatic bass Graeme Danby, Smyth will perform such Swift classics as ‘Cruel Summer’, ‘But Daddy I Love Him’, ‘Down Bad’, and ‘So Long, London’.
The show will b hosted by SD Entertainment.
Promoter from the company, Ciaran Campbell, said, “We’ve had a great response naturally to this event, so much so that we’ve now added an earlier show at 1pm to the Strabane show in May.”
Taylor Swift in undeniably one of the biggest contemporary names in music, and has sold over 50 million albums worldwide and achieved over 12 number one singles, having spent 49 weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 charts.
Swift’s latest ‘Eras Tour’ was the first tour to ever gross over $1 billion, habing sold a whopping 4.35 million tickets across 60 tour dates, bringing in a mind blowing $1.04 billion in total.
