Welcome to Actorville

The year is 1952. The place is hidden in the baron desolate landscape of Nevada. Nobody knows how to get there, apart from the elite few.

I’m not talking about a secret military base.

I’m telling you about a forgotten little ghost town called Factoryville.

But the residents there are no ordinary residents.

They’ve cleverly removed the F and Y from the town name, so it now reads ‘actor ville’.

Why?

Because all the residents there are Hollywood actors.

Or rather, former Hollywood actors.

I say ‘former’ because they have now retired.

Beyond retiring, they have actually faked their own deaths.

They’ve had enough of the glitz and glamour that the movie biz has to offer.

They’ve given up fame and fortune to go spend the rest of their days in the desert with a select few of the same breed.

A secret society.

They don’t want to be found.

For years, this town has been Hollywood’s best kept secret.

That is until the recent craze of atomic tourism that has swept the country.

Yes.

Sounds crazy but it’s true.

People from all over America have started travelling in zoo-like fashion to Nevada in order to drink cocktails and watch nuclear tests from a safe distance.

A new road was even built to accommodate these freaky people.

And that road leads right through (F)actor(Y)ville.

The little quiet town has become overrun.

It is now a nuclear hot spot destination.

And the locals are not happy about it.

How much of this is lies I’m telling you?
