Ann’s Care Homes acquires Strabane nursing home

LOCAL family owned healthcare operator, Ann’s Care Homes, has announced the acquisition of seven nursing homes from Larchwood Care Limited including Melmount Manor Care Centre in Strabane.

The purchase secures the jobs of 560 staff and care of 320 residents across the seven homes.

Ann’s currently own and operate 16 nursing homes across Northern Ireland.

The additional Larchwood Care nursing homes that have been purchased are Apple Blossom Lodge Care Centre in Armagh, Glebe Care Centre and Dunanney Care Centre in  Belfast and Kingsland Care Centre in Bangor.

As part of this continued growth, we are delighted to announce the acquisition of seven homes from Larchwood Care. “Ann’s and Larchwood are working closely with the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority and the Regional Trusts to ensure a smooth migration of the operations of the Homes and we’re both fully committed to ensuring a smooth transfer for all stakeholders. There will be no changes to the existing care arrangements in staffing or the team directly involved with the nursing homes, so people in the homes receiving residential and nursing care and their families can be assured of continuity of care.
