Covid-19 has directly impacted on the functioning of the Court Service with only a phased return to court business currently being rolled out – priority is being given to emergency and non-contentious matters. That means that many disputes are not being dealt with and will not be dealt with for the time being.

The threat of Covid-19 closing down Court Services again in NI and the disruption this will add to an already backed up system will continue to be a problem directly impacting on the efficacy of cases being dealt by the court for a long time yet.

This inevitable disruption means that prioritisation of matters becomes the focus resulting in many matters continuing to be delayed. With this reality on the horizon, it is worth considering Mediation to aid dispute resolution at this time.

This can lead to a mediated agreement being reached and a case conclusion for all parties concerned. The service offered by Fox Law is not impacted by court delays due to CovidD-19 and can commence as soon as a referral has been received.

Fox Law can facilitate Mediation in a convenient location to you or remotely, with all Covid-19 precautions being strictly adhered to. Fox Law can take solicitor referrals and/or self-referrals. The service is provided with a set fee and includes, if an agreement is reached, a mediated agreement for the parties to sign and take to their solicitors.
