Crafty kids at Creggan Community Centre

CREATIVE children in the Creggan area got stuck into some DIY as they built their own tables and benches at a recent workshop.

The talented children took part in a woodwork workshop run by Orlaigh Sally from Craft School at Creggan Community Centre last week.

During the workshop, the young children learned how to make their own wooden benches and tables from scratch using many tools.

Once the building was complete, they colourfully painted the benches and each child was allowed to take home their creation and the workshop was a huge success.

A spokesman from the Creggan Community Association said, “Orlaigh from Craft School held a brilliant kids woodwork course in our hall last week.

“The children made benches and tables from scratch to take home and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

“We are looking forward to having craft school back with us for future arts and crafts courses.”
