A FOURTH man has been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector, John Caldwell, in Omagh on Wednesday night.
The arrest of a 22 year-old man took place in the Coalisland area. Three other people were arrested yesterday (Thursday) as the police continue to probe the shooting incident at Youthsport in the town.
Detectives say that the man was taken to the Musgrave Senior Crime suite for questioning.
Three men arrested in the Omagh and Coalisland areas yesterday and aged 38, 45 and 47 are still being questioned at the Musgrave Serious Crime suite also.
The arrest took place in the early hours of Friday morning.
It is understood that PSNI forensic officers have attended a property in Omagh as part of their investigation.
