A MAN has been charged with the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell.
The 44-year-old has been charged with attempted murder, directing terrorism and preparation of terrorist acts.
He is due to appear before Dungannon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (Saturday, February 10).
The senior detective was off-duty when he was shot several times at Youth Sport Omagh in February last year.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
