Multiple awards nominations for WeAreTyrone-UlsterHerald team

THE WeAreTyrone and UlsterHerald team have received six nominations as part of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) NI Media Awards next month.

WeAreTyrone-UlsterHerald has been shortlisted in the Regional Media Outlet of the Year category.

Our supplement commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Omagh bomb has been shortlisted in the Magazine/Supplement of the year Category.

Furthermore, our podcast ‘Dark Days’ marking 50 years since killings of Robin Bell, Michael Naan and Andrew Murray in Co Fermanagh has been nominated in the Best Podcast Episode category.

Three of our team have also been nominated for individual awards: Emmet McElhatton (Regional Journalist of the Year); Callum McGuigan (Student Journalist of the Year) & Niamh McGovern (Newcomer of the Year).

Our sister title, Gaelic Life, has also been nominated in the Media Outlet of the Year (print/digital) category.

The NI Media Awards celebrates the local media industry in Northern Ireland, acknowledging the work of professionals and outlets in the industry here.

The awards night will take place on Friday, March 15 at The MAC in Belfast.

The WeAreTyrone-UlsterHerald team has also received two nominations for the Regional Press Awards in London on April 16.

We have been shortlisted for News Brand of the Year and Supplement of the Year.
