Women in local council area encouraged to set up new businesses

TODAY is the final day for women to sign up to a new business start-up programme being run by the local council.

The Female Entrepreneur Programme will offer a range of workshops and mentoring opportunities for women in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area who want to set up their own business.

There will also be grants of £1,000 to help the women get started on their business journey.
To be eligible for this program you must be:

  • An economically inactive female (Economically inactive means not in employment and have not been seeking employment within the last four weeks and/ or are unable to start work in the next two weeks)
  • Able to commit the time for a minimum of four workshops, inspirational talks from local female entrepreneurs and receive one-to-one mentoring support
  • Committed to starting your business by October 31 this year.

The programme is limited to 15 participants and anyone who would like to take part can sign up here.
