THE draw for the 2021 Tyrone Club Championship draw was made tonight, and as always, there are some intriguing clashes to whet the appetite.
In the senior championship, reigning champions Dungannon meet the winners of a preliminary round clash between Ardboe and Dromore. Other notable ties include the meeting of Clonoe and Errigal Ciaran, while a young and talented Carrickmore side have been pitted against Omagh.
At Intermediate level, the stand-out tie is the pairing of Aghyaran and Owen Roes, both of whom have been in exceptional form in the league. League leaders Greencastle, meanwhile, will fancy their chances against Strabane.
Then. in the Junior Championship, Division Three table toppers face second-placed Drumragh in what’s sure to be a cracking contest.
Speaking at the draw, Tyrone Chairman Michael Kerr says it is the intention to stream all of the matches online.
Adrian Scullin, of the LLC Group said: “I’m going to throw down the gauntlet. Last year, all three teams which won their respective championships all wore green and yellow, and were all from the east (referring to Dungannon, Edendork, and Kildress). So I don’t know what has happened the west!” Controversial eh. Anyway, here’s the draw for your perusal:
