All eight F&W sides kept apart in last-32 Junior Cup draw

ALL eight Fermanagh and Western teams remaining in this season’s Craig Stanfield Junior Cup were somehow kept apart in last evening’s fourth round draw.

A quarter of the teams left in the prestigious knockout competition hail from the local league and the fact that none of them have been paired against each other further increases the odds of an all Fermanagh and Western final!

Whether that materialises or not remains to be seen, however, local teams will be quietly confident of making further progress following the last-32 draw.

Of the eight local sides only one was drawn at home when four times winners Enniskillen Rangers were paired with All Saints OB.

Holders Dergview Reserves travel to Mid Ulster Division One outfit, Ballyoran, while Castlederg United, 11-3 winners against Burnfoot United in round three, visit Lincoln Court, 9-1 victors over Dunbreen Rovers last time out.

One of the ties of the round brings together the Cookstown-based Killymoon Rangers and Tummery Athletic while 2022 winners Coalisland Athletic will host Sion Swifts.

All ties are pencilled in for January 6 and will be played to a finish with extra-time and penalties if required.
