SOMMER Lecky returned to action by winning the high jump competition at the Irish Life Health Elite Micro Meet in the Sport Ireland National Arena on Saturday.
The Castlederg jumper captured gold by clearing 1.75 metres in the season opener with Liscarroll AC’s Aoife O’Sullivan finishing runner-up by jumping 1.70.
For the Finn Valley athlete it was a first competitive indoor outing since the Irish Seniors almost 12 months ago and the 20-year-old was reasonably happy with her lot.
