Beragh’s Donnelly claims third in hillclimb

BERAGH’S John Donnelly was third overall during last Saturday’s run over Larne Motor Club’s Cairncastle Hillclimb.

He had driven his Pilbeam PM62 to fifth overall on the Friday and fourth in class behind double winner, Graham Thompson, Richard McGimpsey and Gerard O’Connell in his Red Bull-liveried Dallara World Series machine.

Donnelly’s daughter, Catherine, who was taking a break from training for her Eiffel to Termon charity cycle in August, was also in action in her Delta T91, which she drove to 37th overall and 14th on Saturday.
