Bradley 2 joins O’Rourke’s gym in Dublin

CALLUM Bradley has joined forces with O’Rourke’s Gym in Dublin as he bids to take his promising professional career to the next level when he returns to the ring.

 

The talented 22-year-old super-featherweight has won all of his first four professional bouts, defeating Jose Aguillar, Rafael Castillo, Javier Hernandez and Michael Horabin all on points, but he has been out of action since last February due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.

 

During that time, his older brother Tiernan has stepped into the paid ranks, winning three times in some style and having been impressed by the work done by Stephen O’Rourke, Callum has decided to join his sibling at the Dublin gym.

 

“Having watched Tiernan’s fights and sparring and having seen how much he has come on and how highly Tiernan speaks of him, I thought I’d join what is a fantastic stable of talent,” explained the young Omagh pugilist.

 

“I went out to Tiernan’s fight in Spain [a victory by unanimous decision over Eduardo Valverde] and we did a couple of sessions together and I just really enjoyed it. I liked him, not just as a boxing trainer but as a person as well, so it’s good!

 

“I think he’s going to help me make a step up, that’s why I’ve joined the gym.

 

“There’s great lads in there, you’ve Tony Browne, you have Stephen’s son Ryan who was prospect of the year this year, there’s a lot of good fighters.

 

“And Stephen has been around the boxing world for years, so I think it’s a good choice.”
