Bradley seals second pro win

TIERNAN Bradley claimed his second professional win on Sunday when he easily dispatched Arnoldo Solano in three rounds.

The Omagh welterweight went into the encounter keen to gain experience and hopeful of going the full six rounds.

However, as he did in his first fight in the paid ranks when he forced Kornel Cendrowski into a first round TKO, he proved to have too much of an arsenal for his opponent.

The 23-year-old had his Nicaraguan opponent on the canvas four times in the three rounds before the match referee stopped the contest at Club Saga Heredia in Malaga and disqualified Solano for repeatedly spitting out his mouthpiece.

Prior to the bout Bradley admitted he gained little from his resounding win over Cendrowski in October in Poland and he was hoping for a tougher test against 29-year-old Solano, who had 38 pro bouts before Sunday.

Unfortunately that proved not to be the case for the O’Rourke’s Gym fighter, who again found the going all too easy.

Conversely, he has improved his record to 2-0 and should that form continue into the new year, the European Schoolboys bronze and Commonwealth Youth silver medallist should have no shortage of opportunities over the next 12 months.
