Dergview have the opportunity to turn the heat up on fellow strugglers Ards when they host Ballyclare Comrades in a rescheduled Player-fit Championship game this evening (Tuesday).
In recent weeks second-from-bottom Dergview have closed the gap on nearest rivals Ards in their quest to avoid finishing in the relegation play-off spot.
A scoreless draw at home to Ballinamallard last Tuesday night narrowed that gap to just three points and a win this evening would obviously leave the sides level pegging going into the final two games before the split.
On Saturday the Castlederg outfit were defeated 3-0 at Newington and manager Emmet Friars will be demanding an improvement from his players as they look to put the pressure on the Co Down outfit, who have taken just one point from their last eight games. Kick-off at Darragh Park is 8pm
