Eglish end Dromore’s unbeaten start to the season

EGLISH brought an end to Dromore’s unbeaten start to the Tyrone top flight season with a narrow 0-12 to 0-11 home success over the St Dympna’s tonight.

That result has tightened things up at the top of the table significantly with Moy and Clonoe closing in on Dromore after they shared a 0-8 apiece stalemate at the former in a match that saw both sides record more wides than they would have liked.

While Moy and Clonoe now only trail Dromore by two points, Carrickmore are just one behind after they recorded a 1-17 to 0-14 home success over Pomeroy and Dungannon and Loughmacrory also closed in on the leaders after each were victorious tonight. The Clarkes claimed a 0-16 to 0-9 win at bottom side, Edendork, while Loughmacrory were 0-9 to 0-6 victors over Coalisland.

Elsewhere, Trillick and Omagh served up and entertaining clash at the latter, who were two point victors by 1-13 to 1-11 and Galbally crashed back down to earth this week after suffering a 4-18 to 0-10 defeat at Errigal Ciaran.

Killyclogher claimed a 0-9 to 0-8 win at Derrylaughan, while the Ardboe versus Donaghmore game was postponed.
