COALISLAND have appointed Stephen Ferguson as their manager for the 2022 season, filling the role recently vacated by Brian McGuckin, who led the team to last year’s county final.
Ferguson has been involved on-and-off with Tattyreagh in the last number of years, and his success at that club has no doubt played a big part in his appointment as manager of the east Tyrone giants.
Ferguson led Tattyreagh to historic back-to-back championship titles alongside his Brackaville clubmate Stephen McHugh in 2017 and 2018. He was also parachuted back into the role midway through last season to help steer the Tatts through a rocky patch.
He has enlisted Ballinderyry coach Stephen McGeehan to train the top Division One outfit.
