THE ULSTER Council has issued guidelines on the return to play – and they have stipulated that spectators are strictly forbidden from both training sessions and matches.
Full squad training can commence from April 23 in preparation for a return to playing matches, while competitive games can return from May 7.
However, the guidance issued also states that “The attendance of spectators is strictly forbidden including parents/designated persons at youth games/training.
“If a parent/designated person wishes to remain on-site for the duration of the game/activity, they may do so in close proximity to the event (e.g. in their cars) and must also have completed the GAA online health questionnaire prior to leaving home.
“It is important again to emphasise that the attendance of spectators is strictly forbidden.”
Last year, up to 200 people – including management, players, officials and spectator – were permitted to attend club matches. At this point in time, up to 100 people may attend, but that does not include fans.
