TIERNAN Bradley intends to ‘put on a show’ by ‘throwing bombs’ and displaying his ‘slickness’ in defence during his professional debut in Poland tomorrow night.
The Omagh man will make his bow in the paid ranks against 20-year-old Radoslaw Rudiuk, who he feels won’t have the quality necessary to provide much of a threat to a winning start.
Twenty-three year-old Bradley isn’t approaching the contest with over-confidence, however. He knows Ruduik was an elite level amateur and that he has lost his first two professional fights, both via unanimous decision, against Rafal Grabowski and Rafal Grabowski.
The latter defeat was something of a shock against debutant Grabowski, but Dublin-based Bradley is well aware he may face something of a backlash.
He’s confident though that he will have more than enough weapons in his own arsenal to fend off anything his opponent will throw at him.
“He’s been thrown in against tough lads, but he had a good amateur career and he’s had two fights this year, including one just two weeks ago, so he’ll be ready for this fight,” Tiernan acknowledged.
“He’ll be coming back for revenge in this fight. He’ll be there to throw back but I expect to outwork him and to be too strong for him.
“The sparring I’ve been doing has been against top quality lads and I don’t think this fella will be at the level I’m sparring at.”
