Tyrone hurlers set for Armagh showdown in Nicky Rackard

The draws for the Joe McDonagh, Christy Ring, Nickey Rackard, and Lory Meagher Cups were made today.

The Tyrone hurlers, who play in the Nicky Rackard Cup competition, will take on neighbours Armagh with a place in the semi-finals at stake.  That game will take place on either the third or fourth of July.

The other group will see three teams, Donegal, Mayo and Leitrim, duke it out in a round robin series.

The top two teams from that group progress automatically to the semis, while the bottom placed team will play the losers of Tyrone and Armagh in a quarter-final clash.

The Nickey Rackard Cup came into being in 2005, and Tyrone have one title to their name, coming out on top in 2014 with a 1-17 to 1-16 victory over Fingal.
