Tyrone preparations jeopardised by Covid outbreaks

TYRONE’S preparations for the upcoming All-Ireland Championship semi-final against Kerry have been rocked by Covid-19.

The Ulster Herald understands that a number of key players are in self-isolation, and that the entire panel was tested this morning (Saturday).

The Irish Examiner also reported this morning that the County Board hasn’t – at this stage at least – requested a postponement of next Sunday’s All-Ireland semi-final against Munster Champions Kerry.

Tyrone triumphed in last weekend’s Ulster final against Monaghan even though Rory Brennan, Tiernan McCann and Frank Burns were out of commission, but it’s understood that the problem is more widespread on this occasion.
