TYRONE 1-12 DUBLIN 1-14
For the second year running, Tyrone Under-20s saw their dreams of All-Ireland glory dashed at the semi-final stages when they failed to withstand a late Dublin onslaught at Breffni Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Hands led an entertaining contest 1-7 to 1-5 at half-time, Tiarnan Quinn tucking away their goal in the 18th minute, after Brian O’Leary had earlier netted for the Dubs.
With Darragh Canavan and Ethan Jordan looking lively up front, the Ulster champions were the more impressive of the two sides in the first period, James McCann and Simon Garrity also catching the eye.
Tyrone had eased further ahead 1-10 to 1-7 passing the forty minute mark, but from there to the final whistle, Dublin bossed proceedings.
They outscored Tyrone 0-7 to 0-2 in that closing stretch with Mark Lavin and Ciaran Archer slotting over some quality scores.
