Ward claims 10 mile time trial triumph during first round

DUNAMANAGH’S Adam Ward claimed victory in the opening round of the West Tyrone Road Series.

He recorded an impressive time of 22.25 minutes over the Lifford 10 mile TT circuit during the Strabane Lifford Cycling Club-hosted event.

With regular competitors unavailable due to holidays and with poor weather on the night leading to a smaller than expected entry, organisers were buoyed by some impressive performances on the night.

“The club would like to thank the race committee of Evin McDwyer, Kieran Porter, JP Connolly and their large team of helpers who ensured Strabane Lifford CC ran a successful safe first event of 2020,” said a club spokesperson.

Strabane Lifford Cycling Club also organised a shorter, five mile TT on the same course for its junior members,which produced the following results.
