SHOWING support for those less fortunate than themselves is an important aspect of Christmas at St Conor’s Primary School.
This year, the children and friends of the Omagh school donated some 500 shoeboxes filled with small, inexpensive gifts for children in need around the world.
Proud principal, Katrina McGettigan, said, “At St Conor’s we attempt to educate our pupils about global poverty and injustice; and at Christmastime we encourage our pupils to reach out to children who live in poverty by donating a shoebox filled with gifts.
“Our families, and indeed past families, neighbours, staff and friends of the school are always very generous and supportive of the charity work that we do here in school, and this year is no exception!”
