Hard work and ‘plenty of porridge’ the secrets to Mary’s 100 years

HARD work and plenty of porridge are the secrets to a long life, according to a Clogher woman who celebrated her 100th birthday on New Year’s Day.

Marvellous Mary McKenna, who still lives on her own at Fintona Road, is believed to be Clogher’s eldest resident.

A special Mass was celebrated on Saturday morning in St Patrick’s Church in Clogher by Rev Fr Noel McGahan to acknowledge this fantastic milestone.
