A PAIR of tractor-driving ‘hallions’ from Tyrone have joined forces to help raise money for Air Ambulance NI.
Eamon Hamill, from Dungannon, and Denver Rafferty, from Garvaghy, will be doing a tractor run across the North on two Massey Ferguson 35s, and aim to complete 270 miles over three days.
The ‘Hallions on Tour’, as they have branded themselves, will begin their fundraising journey in Bridge End, Donegal on May 27 and will end in Moy on May 29.
They will be making stops in several towns and cities along the way, including Portstewart, Portrush, Belfast, Bangor, Newcastle, Kilkeel, Warrenpoint and Armagh.
Denver explained the reason why they chose to raise money for the Air Ambulance.
He said, “There has been quite a few times that the Air Ambulance has been out and has helped people in the local community, so we wanted to do something to help raise money for them.”
The tractors that Eamon and Denver will be doing the run in are currently being fixed up and refurbished by themselves to get them ready for that key date in May.
For those looking to support Eamon and Denver’s journey, Eamon said, “We have a JustGiving page and people can donate through that but also over the three day journey we will be making stops in towns and there will be collection buckets so people can make a donation this way.”
