Killyclogher 10k race to raise money for charities

IT will soon be time to throw on your sports gear and lace up your running shoes as the 13th annual ‘Killyclogher 10k Road Race’ and ‘5k Fun Run/Walk’ for charity is just around the corner.

Taking place on Saturday, June 8 at 11am from Ballinamullan GAC grounds, the community-driven event is for all ages and abilities, and this year, it is in aid of the Enda Dolan Foundation and Zest, Killyclogher.

Both the 10k and 5k races will be chip-timed, and the courses present a great opportunity for setting ‘Personal Best’ times as the two routes are flat.

Over the years, the race has attracted some of the best running talent across the region.

This year, runners will include participants of the Enda Dolan Foundation’s ‘Couch 2 5k’ programme, which started on Tuesday, April 30 at Youth Sport Omagh, with 120 enrolled participants.

Pre-registration

Participants can pre-register on the Athletics NI website or on the day of the event. Please note: The first 200 entrants for the 10k event will receive a t-shirt.

Post-race refreshments for all runners and walkers will be provided in the Dún Uladh centre afterwards.

For further details, please see both Killyclogher GAA and Killyclogher 10K Facebook pages.
