The Hill of the O’Neill in Dungannon will be a hub of laughter this May, as Mid Ulster prepares for the eagerly-awaited return of Dungannon Comedy Festival.
Taking place on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5, the festival will showcase some of the biggest names on local comedy circuit as they prepare to take to the stage for a weekend of laughter.
The weekend’s line up will include Colin Murphy, John Colleary, Dave Elliott, Colin Geddis, Diona Doherty, Conor Keys and Talal Jomar.
Headliners Colin Murphy and Colin Geddis are no strangers to the stage. Murphy, a stalwart figure on the BBC’s The Blame Game is celebrated for his razor-sharp wit and boundless energy.
Boasting a career that spans over 30 years, he stand as a comedic maestro, having delivered stand-up performances across the globe, whilst Geddis has been deemed ‘one of the most in demand comedians in Ireland’, with regular sell out shows at Belfast’s SSE Arena.
Amongst the bill, and performing on both nights, is Omagh native, Conor Keys, who has been described as a ‘stalwart’ of the local comedy scene.
Keys, who owns Daly’s Comedy Club in Omagh, brings a fresh and dynamic perspective to the stage with his comedic prowess, coupled with his charismatic delivery.
Diona Doherty has also been making significant strides as a comedian, actor, writer and producer in recent years, and has been described as ;a versatile talent in the entertainment industry’.
Best-known for her role in the BBC’s ‘The Blame Game’, Doherty has also made notable appearances in popular shows such as ‘Soft Border Patrol’, ‘The News Quiz’, ‘A Perforated Ulster’ and ‘Give My Head Peace’.
Dungannon Comedy Festival will take place in the outdoor seated Marquee event space on The Hill of the O’Neill, so make sure you don’t miss out on this laughter-packed extravaganza.
