The Alley Theatre Continues to Bring the Best of Local Music through Digital Live Streaming
Over the past month the Alley Theatre has been bringing music back to life through a series of concerts recorded on the Alley stage, streamed on their Facebook and Youtube pages entitled ‘The Vaccine Sessions’.
Supporting local bands and musicians, it is a welcome return to music back on the Alley stage.
So far we have welcomed sets from ‘Without Willow’, Tramp and ‘The Heathen Choir’ .
This week we are delighted to welcome ‘Fast Thursday’ Fast Thursday are a 3 piece Hard Rock/Alternative Punk band from Ireland consisting of: Reece Nelson – Guitar and Vocals Jamie Mc Clelland – Bass and Vocals Luke Sharkey – Drums.
Fast Thursday are a loud and energetic band who have played gigs up and down the country in every pub and venue available. Fast Thursday has 2 EPs under their belt with an album on its way. Their second EP ‘Unite the Factions’ having taken them on a self-funded tour of the UK Fast Thursday are no strangers to the outside world of music
On Saturday 31st July the brilliant Gav Kelly takes to the stage.
Musician/photographer Gavin Kelly has been whiling away the hours during lockdown writing and recording new material, and experimenting with different genres and alter egos.
On 31st July Gav will be delivering a few original tracks and a favourite cover version from his online live lockdown gigs. Gav has plenty of new music coming in 2021 with a forthcoming debut solo album out this year also.
Starting August off is local singer songwriter Morgan McDaid, followed by Dean Maywood and Dog river band on 10th August Singer/ songwriter Dean Maywood has long been an accomplished live musician, having spent the past few years playing both his own shows and supporting others in Ireland and USA.
In 2019 he launched his debut EP – a mix of folk and Americana with a drop of country thrown in.
