The winter sun looks beautiful as it gleams into the dark corners of your home, however the cobwebs and streaks on your windows are hideously marring the outside view.
However, fear not. The annoying and distracting marks on your glass’ surfaces can be easily cleaned by our all-natural and eco-friendly vinegar window washing solution. All you need is a glass spray bottle, white (distilled) vinegar, and two old (but clean) T-shirts.
Simply dampen the window’s surface with a little dash of clean cold water. Fill your spray bottle with 50 per-cent warm water and 50 percent white vinegar, and then wipe off the surface stains with your old T-shirt.
Rinse your T-shirt, and go over any areas where grime and dirt are still visible. Rinse your T-shirt again. Then dry the surface immediately with your second pre-loved tee. However, if there are any stubborn spots, try dipping a corner of your first T-shirt in undiluted white vinegar and then rub the stain directly.
Indeed there are many benefits to using eco-friendly solutions over conventional cleaning products. The first is that the latter tends to include harsh chemicals, that have been associated with a host of health problems – like damage to the liver, kidneys and central nervous system – since spraying these substances causes pollution that lingers in the air long after use.
Secondly going green is a much cheaper and handier option long-term, and lastly, ridding your home of toxic chemicals is safer for your beloved pets and children who are especially vulnerable because of their small size.
