Another arson attack at former army base in Omagh

POLICE are investigating another arson attack at a former military base in Omagh.

The latest fire at the site of St Lucia Barracks happened on Monday, May 5.

The PSNI have not released any more details about the incident, which is the latest in a series of arson incidents at the site, but are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

“We would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident, to contact 101 quoting reference number 206 05/05/25,” said a police spokesperson.

“Alternatively, information can be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

“We would further request that parents ensure their children avoid this area as structural damage poses a risk of injury.”
