Arson probe launched after rubbish set on fire in flats

POLICE have launched an investigation into an arson attack in Omagh early this morning.

At around 2.15am, it was reported to the PSNI that a quantity of rubbish had been set alight in the communal hallway area of flats in the Culmore Park area.

Sergeant Hamill said, “There were no reports of any injuries following the incident.”

Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, to contact them on 101, quoting reference 87 23/02/21.
