Christmas lights festival brings sparkle and cheer

CASCADING Christmas lights and stunning projections which decorate the faces of some of our most iconic buildings are helping to bring smiles and Christmas cheer to local folks.

Switched on by chairperson of Fermanagh and Omagh District council chairman, Chris Smyth, with help from his good friend, Santa Claus, the ‘Christmas Lights Festival’ sees the towns of Omagh, Carrickmore, Dromore, and Fintona beautifully lit up in festive sparkles.

What’s more, Omagh’s Courthouse, the former provincial bank building, and Sperrin House have also been illuminated with beautiful custom lights displays and colourful projections.

Speaking about the spectacular illuminations, organised and funded by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Cllr Smyth said, “We hope that the Christmas Lights Festival helps to lift spirits and add some festive sparkle across the district at this time.”
