A FURTHER seven deaths related to Covid-19 in the North have been reported today by the Department of Health.
Four of these deaths occurred in the 24 hours up to 10am this morning, while the remaining three died outside that period.
The Department of Health has now reported a total number of 489 deaths related to Covid-19 in Northern Ireland.
This figure refers mainly to hospital deaths.
Currently, there are a total of 660 inpatients, either suspected or confirmed Covid-19 cases, being treated in the North’s hospitals. Sixteen of these patients are in Intensive Care Units.
Meanwhile, there are active Covid-19 outbreaks in 71 care homes across Northern Ireland.
