THREE further deaths related to Covid-19 in the North were reported today by the Department of Health.
Just one of the deaths occurred in the 24-hour period before 10am today. The other two deaths happened before then, but were not reported until now.
This brings the total number of deaths in the North reported by the department to 504.
These figures relate mainly to hospital patients who had previously tested positive for the virus.
As it stands, there are currently 615 either suspected or confirmed Covid positive inpatients being treated in the North’s hospitals, of which 13 are being treated in Intensive Care Units.
Currently, there are active Covid-19 outbreaks in 72 care homes across the North.
So far, a total of 4,504 individuals in the North have now tested positive for Covid-19.
